Eugene Laverty competes this weekend in the Moto GP 250cc class at The Cardion AB Grand Prix Ceske Republiky.
The race will take place at the beautiful 5.403km circuit of Brno.
The riders have had their month long summer break and this race follows a solid points scoring finish at the Sachsenring, Germany. Laverty will be looking to take up where he left off last month.
Laverty said: ‘With just seven races remaining I’m still chasing that debut top 12 finish having come close so many times already this year. Surely it can’t be far away and I’d be delighted if I could achieve that on this level of machinery.
‘I enjoyed my time off spending the majority of the break at home with my family. We have seven races in little more than two months so it’s a busy period up ahead.
‘My future will be decided on the basis of what I can achieve before the end of the season so it will be important to rack up consistent points scoring finishes from here on in.
‘It’s a difficult time for all the British riders following the death of our friend Craig Jones less than a fortnight ago so we’ll all be looking to achieve good results in his memory.’
Jones lost his life in a racing accident at Brands Hatch.
