World Rally Team Ireland driver Shaun Gallagher starts day two of Rally Mexico lying sixth in the junior WRC race and 19th overall.
The Donegal man has been battling with a viral infection picked up in Mexico earlier this week.
Tommy Mullen, chief executive officer of Team Ireland said: ‘The infection is having a physical and mental impact on Shaun.
‘He has been seen by Citroën team doctors and he is feeling dehydrated.
‘We are delighted that Shaun is doing so well, all things considered. The conditions are very warm and the wellbeing of Shaun is the only thing on everyone's mind at the moment.’
