The new Wembley Stadium is set to host a motorsport event next year after the organisers of the prestigious Race of Champions claimed they would be using the venue.
The annual event, which pits drivers from different forms of motorsport against each other in a series of one-on-one challenge races, is set to visit London for the first time in 2007.
The Stade de France in Paris has been the venue for the last three years, including Saturday's event which was won by Mattias Ekstrom.
'I want to say a huge thank you to everyone at the Stade de France and the fantastic French fans for the three great years we have had here,' Race of Champions organiser Fredrik Johnsson told www.autosport.com.
'For 2007, we have been talking to some of the world's most prestigious stadiums and I can tell you that the 20th anniversary event will take place next year at the new Wembley Stadium in London, England.'
