Jean Todt has been appointed chief executive officer at Ferrari.
The board of directors met in Turin on Wednesday to discuss the company's future management structure and Frenchman Todt moved up from his executive director role with their Formula One team.
Meanwhile, Amedeo Felisa has joined the board as general manager in place of Renato Pagliaro, who has resigned.
