A1 Team Ireland's hopes of success in today's A1 Grand Prix, Indonesia, ended today when driver Ralph Firman suffered a high speed excursion across a gravel trap.
Team Canada won the race as Canada's Sean McIntosh took the chequered flag ahead of Malaysia's Alex Yoong, with third and fourth occupied by debutants Marcus Marshall and Christian Fittipaldi, driving for Australia and Brazil respectively.
France, for whom Nicolas Lapierre took eighth place, continue to lead the championship with 132 points, ahead of Switzerland.
