Gareth McHale from Rathcoole, County Dublin, has been selected as the fifth winner of the Billy Coleman Young Rally Driver of the Year Award.
The 25-year-old, son of five-time Irish Tarmac Rally champion Austin, won the Irish Forestry Rally Championship in 2005 and collects a cheque for €32,000.
The runners-up were Kevin Kelleher from Clonakilty, Co Cork and Ian Barrett from Maynooth, Co Kildare.
Kelleher receives a cheque for €8,000 as runner-up, with Barrett receiving a cheque for €4,000.
