Mark Webber has reaffirmed his commitment to Williams despite rumours that he is disenchanted with the team's lacklustre season.
Webber moved from the now-defunct Jaguar team at the end of 2004 having carved out a reputation as a no-nonsense racer in the Williams mould.
But the Grove outfit have failed to produce a car capable of challenging for race wins and the patience of engine supplier BMW has snapped, leading to them withdrawing their multi-million pound support at the end of the current campaign.
After a promising start, Webber has been outdriven by his impressive team-mate
Nick Heidfeld, with suggestions the German will join the BMW exodus.
Now the talk is of Webber's manager, and Renault team principal, Flavio Briatore placing the Australian alongside title contender and fellow Briatore stablemate Fernando Alonso for 2006.
Webber, though, is standing by Williams: "I am 100% behind the team even though we're not where we want to be in terms of performance," he said. "This has been a tough season, but I want to keep pushing and for us all to come through the other side. Flavio and I had a lot of discussions last year about coming here, but I wanted to do it and get on with it."
