International Formula 3000 champion Vitantonio Liuzzi will test for Red Bull Racing later this month.
The Italian was funded by the soft drinks giant last season and was quickly installed as one of the favourites to drive for Red Bull when the company bought out Jaguar earlier this week.
As expected, Liuzzi will be given his chance to shine in a test at Jerez starting on November 24, with 2004 Jaguar drivers Christian Klien and Bjorn Wirdheim also present.
Liuzzi was in the frame for a Red Bull-backed Sauber drive next year but was pipped to that opening by former world champion Jacques Villeneuve.
Liuzzi said: "It's an exciting opportunity to be testing for Red Bull Racing. They have been very supportive to me and my racing."
