Eddie Jordan has vowed to put his failed legal action against Vodafone behind him 'for the good of the sport'. The Dubliner yesterday withdrew his £150million lawsuit against the telecommunications giant, which had alleged Vodafone reneged on a sponsorship deal.
The decision to pull out of the High Court action will hit Jordan in the pocket after he agreed to pay Vodafone's costs. But Jordan's team insist the legal bill will not affect their future in Formula One while the Irishman himself is keen to put the whole episode behind him.
Jordan said: "Jordan Grand Prix has decided to withdraw its legal claim against Vodafone. We realise that for the good of the sport it is in everyone's interest to draw a line under this episode and concentrate on the rest of this season and the years ahead."
