British Superbikes comes to Mondello Park

Bord Fáilte and Mondello Park Racing have announced that the British Superbikes Championship will be held in Ireland next summer. The event sponsored by Bord Fáilte's International Sports Tourism Initiative has been secured for Mondello Park in Kildare for the next three years.

"Bord Fáilte has worked closely with Mondello Park to develop the Kildare circuit into a major tourism attraction for Ireland. Events such as the British Superbike Championships, and the very successful British Touring Car Championship highlight Ireland's versatility as a sports tourism destination," said Bord Fáilte Chief Executive Niall Reddy.

The BSB series will debut at the County Kildare venue in June of next year for what should be the biggest motorcycle event of the 2003 Irish calendar. The event will be run under the jurisdiction of the MCUI Southern Centre who will be responsible for providing the personnel to run the event.
