Schumacher looking for perfect 10

Michael Schumacher is planning to recharge his batteries over the next few weeks before launching his latest assault on the Formula One history books. Having already equalled the mark of the legendary Juan Manuel Fangio last week by winning a fifth drivers' title, and in a new record time, Schumacher now has another milestone in his sights.

His emotional start to finish victory in the German Grand Prix at Hockenheim, to complete one of the most dominant weekends of his career, was his ninth this season. It matched a record first set by Nigel Mansell in 1992, with Schumacher now having equalled it on four occasions, with the other three in 1995, 2000 and 2001.

With five grands prix remaining, the 33-year-old looks poised to take his winning record into double figures and beyond, with his motivation as high as ever to keep on putting his rivals in the shade.

But first, a well-deserved holiday looms, and then it will be back to doing what he does best - winning - as he said: "We have good reasons to celebrate this weekend. Then I will be looking to take some time off and spending it with my family, just relaxing to recharge the batteries for the last part of the season."

"We (Ferrari) still have to win the constructors' championship, and although it is a very comfortable position we are in, it is something we have to do. But racing is still a big enjoyment and I look forward, not only to Hungary, but to having some more battles and fights in the closing weeks," Schumacher said.
