Gronholm signs with Peugeot until 2006

Former world champion Marcus Gronholm has signed a new contract with Peugeot until 2006 when he plans to retire. Finn Gronholm, who won the title in 2000 in his first full season in the World Rally Championship, announced his new deal at Thursday's shakedown for the Rally of Argentina.

The 34-year-old said he is unlikely to extend his spell in the sport beyond 2006 and even hinted that he could call it a day before the end of his new contract. "I've got a deal until 2006," Gronholm told the championship's official website. "But maybe I stop before then because that would make me 38."
