There is speculation that Jordan may split from engine manufacturers Honda at the end of the season. Honda supply engines to both Jordan and the BAR team and there was talk at the Barcelona Grand Prix that the Irish team may be asked to pay in the region of 40 million dollars for the engines next season.
Jordan has been linked with a deal with Volkswagen who may be on the point of coming back into Formula One.
