Michael Schumacher has pleased Ferrari fans by saying that he will drive for no other team in Formula 1. Speaking about extending his current contract beyond 2004 he said, "It will be nobody else but Ferrari that's pretty clear. The kind of team we have now is the ideal situation for a racing driver and I don't see any other team which could interest me at all."
He also backed his former team-mate, Jos Verstappen, and told him he's better off out of Arrows. Verstappen was dropped by Arrows owner Tom Walkinshaw who has brought in Germany's Heinz-Harald Frentzen as his replacement.
Schumacher also took a swipe at Walkinshaw's treatment of Verstappen saying, " I am very disappointed at what has happened to Jos, in particular the way it has happened, It's very unfortunate but perhaps it is better to not be employed by a boss with a reputation for throwing drivers out. Jos did not enjoy the situation at the end. But such situations can offer you new opportunities and I believe he has some interesting new opportunities which I hope come true for him."
Verstappen was dropped by Walkinshaw last month despite signing a new deal midway through last season. He was a team-mate of Schumacher's at Benetton in 1994 when the German won the first of his four world titles.
