World Rally Championship driver Alister McRae has joined Mitsubishi from Hyundai. The 30-year-old younger brother of former world champion Colin McRae will drive for Mitsubishi for the next two seasons.
"For me this is a very exciting time and I'm very much looking forward to working with Mitsubishi. The team clearly is one that knows how to succeed, as four drivers' and one manufacturers' championship demonstrates. And next year, I'm sure we can help develop the car further and win rallies and more championships in the future," said McRae.
French driver Francois Delecour has also joined Mitsubishi, who recently lost four-time champion Tommi Makinen to Subaru.
