Kamaru Usman has retained his welterweight strap after knocking out Jorge Masvidal at UFC 261.
The Nigerian Nightmare landed a savage right hand punch just over a minute into the second round.
Usman first took the strap at UFC 235 with a unanimous decision over Tyron Woodley, and has previously defended it three times including a July 2020 bout against Masvidal at UFC 251 in Abu Dhabi also by unanimous decision.
The rematch was a shorter affair, with Usman leaping out of the octagon in Jacksonville, Florida, after the bout was stopped.
The 33-year-old improves to 19-1, while American Masvidal falls to 35-15.
On the undercard, Rose Namajunas took the women's strawweight title stopping Zhang Weili in the first round, Valentina Shevchenko retained her flyweight strap by defeating challenger Jessica Andrade by TKO in the second round and Chris Weidman appeared to suffer a leg injury after kicking Uriah Hall 17 seconds into the bout.
