Meath were too strong for Wicklow

Meath had too much for Wicklow in their Christy Ring Cup clash in Aughrim, taking a 2-24 to 1-19 victory to pick up their second win.

The Royal County's victory came with the help of first-half goals from Lorcan Byrne and Kyle Ennis, plus a Tom Shine haul of 0-12.

Wicklow did find the net with five minutes to go through Padraig Doyle but they were always held at arm's length by the visitors.

In the Nicky Rackard Cup, Mayo were very comfortable 2-34 to 1-12 winners against Fermanagh at Brewster Park.

Ryan Duffy and Fionn Delaney - who racked up 1-09 in total - goaled as Mayo picked up their second win out of three matches.

Sligo are level on points with Mayo after they defeated Armagh by 3-28 to 2-15 in Tubbercurry.

Paul O'Brien, Robert O’Kelly-Lynch and Patrick Walsh found the net for Sligo with Andrew Kilcullen chipping in with 0-12.

In the Lory Meagher Cup, Cavan swung an entertaining contest with Lancashire 3-16 to 2-15 at Páirc na hÉireann.
