Tomás Keyes' goal proved vital for Laois

Laois continued their flawless Allianz Hurling League Division 2 campaign with a 1-23 to 0-17 victory over Westmeath at TEG Cusack Park.

The first half was a tight affair with the teams level at 0-09 each after 35 minutes in a somewhat uninspiring affair.

The turning point of the game came in the 45th minute as a Tomás Keyes goal made it 1-13 to 0-13 in favour of the visitors.

Tomás and James Keyes were prolific in front of the posts to take the game away from Westmeath in the final quarter.

Donegal were comfortable winners over Louth at the Protection & Prosperity Centre of Excellence in Darver.

The Ulster side had 19 points to spare in a 3-20 to 1-10 success to sit top of Division 3.

Wicklow added to Fermanagh's miserable campaign with the biggest win of the day, 5-14 to 0-07, in Aughrim.

In Division 4, Warwickshire got the better of Monaghan on a scoreline of 3-11 to 0-13 in Páirc na hÉireann
