Meath and London both secured away wins in the Allianz Hurling League Division 2, with the Exiles boosting their survival chances with a two-point victory over Derry at Find Insurance Celtic Park.

It means with one game left to play – against Laois – London move out of the bottom two with fate in their own hands.

Fionn Ó Riain Broin raised an early green flag for the visitors, while two goals in the space of 60 seconds from Fionn Whelan and Jack Morrissey laid the foundation for victory. Despite scoring just two points after the resumption, London ran out 3-07 to 0-14 winners.

The Royals joined Laois on six points at the top of the standings, having played a game more, after finishing with five points to spare over Mayo in Toreen.

Despite hitting 12 wides with the aid of the breeze, Meath took a healthy 0-16 to 0-03 lead into the dressing room.

Mayo just couldn't put enough pressure on the scoreboard, with Seán Kenny’s penalty coming too late as Meath won 0-20 to 1-12.

In Division 3, table-toppers Roscommon remain unbeaten, but required injury-time points from Seán Canning, Cian Murray and Micheál Hussey to secure a 1-16 to 0-19 draw with Tyrone at King & Moffatt Dr. Hyde Park.

In Division 4, Leitrim overcame Cavan, for whom Matthew Hayes was red carded, 0-20 to 0-17, while Longford made it four wins from four with a comfortable 15-point win over Lancashire in Abbotstown.
