Donegal made it back-to-back wins over Ulster opposition with a 2-35 to 0-09 destruction of Fermanagh in Division 3 of the Allianz Hurling League.
Having opened up with a win in Tyrone, Mickey McCann's side were dominant from the first minute to the last with the hosts scoring 14 of the first 15 points.
Donegal led by 17 points at the break and hit two goals in the final quarter to secure a 32-point win with the in-form Gerard Gilmore managing a dozen points. They did lose Josh Cronolly McGee to a late red card, on a rare negative note.
Tyrone bounced back from last week’s loss to their neighbours with an impressive 2-18 to 0-16 win away to Louth in Darver.
James McCann finished the first-half scoring to leave Tyrone 0-13 to 0-10 ahead at the break. Sean Flynn reduced the deficit on the restart, but Pierce Mullin’s goal gave Tyrone a boost and the same player wrapped up the win with his second green flag 10 minutes from time.
In Division 4, Monaghan left it late to pick up their first win of the season as they defeated Lancashire 1-23 to 2-16 at Abbotstown.
The game was tight throughout, the Exiles leading 0-11 to 0-09 at the break, but it was broken open by two quick Lancashire goals midway through the second half.
It looked like it would be enough for the points, but Carrick's Rowan McMahon goaled a few minutes from time to level matters before four frees, split evenly between Eithan Flynn and Niall Arthur, gave the Ulster side a four-point win.
Sligo won their Connacht derby with a 2-20 to 0-17 win over Leitrim in Carrick-on-Shannon.
Gerard O'Kelly Lynch’s 2-02 from play proved crucial with Robert O’Kelly Lynch’s free-taking also impressive with the brilliant Daniel Miller and Seán O'Riordan keeping Leitrim in it.
Longford were 1-14 to 1-12 winners over Cavan at Glennon Brothers Pearse Park.
Diarmuid Cahill’s side started well but a 1-06 burst without reply from the visitors - Sean Keating with the goal - helped Cavan into a 1-08 to 0-06 interval lead.
Cathal Mullane raised a green flag early in the second half for Longford and with Cavan reduced to 14 players for the final quarter, the hosts pushed on with Reuben Murray, on his 100th appearance for his county, amongst the Longford scorers.
