The AIB All-Ireland Club Hurling Championship semi-finals will take place on Sunday, 21 December, with Parnell Park and FBD Semple Stadium the venues.

At 1.30pm, Galway's Loughrea will take on Sleacht Néill from Derry in Donnycarney.

The Connacht side captured their fourth county title when they retained their crown against St Thomas's on 2 November, winning on a scoreline of 1-15 to 1-14.

Sleacht Néill, ran out deserved victors to clinch their second provincial crown in as many years after a 13-point victory over Antrim champions St John's in front of the RTÉ cameras on 29 November.

Semple Stadium at 3.30pm will see Waterford kingpins Ballygunner face first-time Leinster winner, St Martin's from Wexford.

The Déise outfit were too strong for Clare's Éire Óg Inis in the Munster final, winning a damp squib encounter by nine points.

Last Saturday's Leinster finale at Croke Park was, in marked contrast, a thriller as substitute Ben Stafford fired over the winning point at the death, so claiming a maiden title for Martin's at Shamrock Ballyhale's expense.

Croke Park will host the All-Ireland final on Sunday, 18 January.
