Easkey 2-25 Naomh Eoin 1-15
Andrew Kilcullen was the star of the show as he helped guide Easkey to their sixth successive title, contributing 2-14 to the scoreline.
Easkey started the game brightly as they opened a three-point lead after six minutes of play with Kilcullen on the mark for his side.
Naomh Eoin soon settled, getting two points without reply, both coming from the youngest of the O'Kelly-Lynch brothers, Robert.
The Sligo-town based club would take the lead a minute later, as Matt Davey found the back of the net after a fine team move.
The sides were level for the first time on 13 minutes, with Easkey responding well after the consolation of the Naomh Eoin goal.
The scoreline was level four times in the opening half, with Robert O’Kelly-Lynch scoring eight points for his side. Kilcullen scored nine in the opening half as the sides were level at the break 1-09 to 0-12.
Naomh Eoin restored the lead after the break with a free from O’Kelly-Lynch, but the sides would be level twice more, before Easkey took control of the match scoring three points without reply to lead by three.
O’Kelly-Lynch reduced the gap to just two points with 19 left to play, but they would only manage two more scores for the remainder of the half.
Easkey found the back of the net twice before the end of the match, again through Kilcullen as they made it six-in-a-row senior hurling titles.
