Cork GAA has announced Ben O'Connor's backroom team ahead of the Newtownshandrum man's expected confirmation as the new Rebels senior hurling manager tonight.
The three-time All-Ireland winner will succeed Pat Ryan, who stepped down last month following a second successive final defeat.
O'Connor is to be appointed for a three-year term and his selectors will be Ronan Curran - O'Connor's team-mate at centre-back in the triumphs of 2004-05, who has managed his own club St Finbarr's and Kanturk - Midleton's Terence McCarthy, and club-mate William Biggane.
All three were part of the backroom team when O'Connor led the Cork Under-20s to the All-Ireland title in 2023. Ballinhassig's Niall O'Halloran has been named coach.
Another Newtownshandrum man, Donal Mulcahy, brother of Pat - has been named Cork minor hurling manager as Noel Furlong continues in charge of the U20s.
John Cleary is also expected to be confirmed for a new two-year term in charge of the county's senior footballers.
Ex-Galway boss Kevin Walsh remains as coach, as do Barry Corkery, Mícheál Ó Cróinín and Jim O'Donoghue as selectors with St Finbarr's Kevin Murray replacing James Loughrey.
Former athletics world champion Rob Heffernan is expected to remain as performance coach.
Éire Óg's Ray Keane is the new U-20 football boss, and the Kerry native will be assisted by 2010 All-Ireland winner Paul Kerrigan, Kevin O'Sullivan and Enda Kiernan.
