Tony Kelly has been selected to start for Clare for Saturday's evening's Munster Hurling Championship clash with Tipperary at Zimmer Biomet Cusack Park.
There were doubts regarding the captain's involvement ahead of the vital clash with Tipp, having missed the recent defeat to Waterford, however, Kelly has been selected to start in Ennis.
Clare will also be buoyed by the fact that Shane O'Donnell is deemed fit enough for a place in the matchday squad for Saturday's encounter.
Sean Rynne also comes into the starting XV and will line out in midfield alongside Cathal Malone.
Clare have yet to win a game in this year's round robin having lost to Waterford last time out, while they drew with Cork in their opening encounter.
Tipperary have opted to start Rhys Skelly in goals for the trip to Ennis with Barry Hogan named to start on the bench.
Darragh McCarthy misses out through suspension following his sending off in the last game with Cork.
