Sunday's Westmeath SHC final between Castletown-Geoghegan and Lough Lene Gaels was abandoned after 13 minutes due inclement weather conditions at TEG Cusack Park.

Lough Lene Gaels were leading 0-02 to 0-00 when referee Barry Kelly decided to call a halt to proceedings as the rain poured down at the midlands venue.

A subsequent statement from Westmeath GAA read: "Due to inclement weather conditions, today's final between Castletown-Geoghegan and Lough Lene Gaels at TEG Cusack Park has been abandoned for safety reasons."
