Tony Kelly has been named on the bench for Clare's latest tilt at a Munster title against Limerick in FBD Insurance Semple Stadium on Sunday.
The 2013 Hurler of the Year missed the entirety of the league after undergoing ankle surgery over winter and has yet to start any of Clare's championship games, coming off the bench in the second half against Limerick, Waterford and Tipperary.
Kelly has struck 1-04 across his heavily truncated championship summer so far, finding the net in the one-point win over Waterford in Ennis.
Otherwise for Clare, Rory Hayes and David McInerney return to the starting team, replacing Conor Leen and Cian Galvin.
The Munster champions make one enforced change to the team that dispatched Waterford by 10 points, Shane O'Brien replacing the injured Seamus Flanagan in the full-forward line.
Darragh O'Donovan and Richie English are back in the matchday 26.

The Ballyhale Shamrocks attacker has been sidelined since incurring an injury in their facile victory over Antrim in the opening round robin, subsequently missing their games against Galway, Dublin and Wexford.
Derek Lyng has also named Mikey Carey and John Donnelly - the latter one of the stars of their round robin campaign - despite notable doubts about their fitness.
Dara Purcell is the only change to the Dublin side which eliminated Galway in Salthill under a fortnight ago, the Kilmacud player replacing Darragh Power in the full-forward line.
Micheál Donoghue has made no further changes to the starting side as the Dubs seek to bridge an 11-year gap to their last Leinster SHC victory.

Injuries for Stephen Maher, Martin Phelan and Willie Dunphy mean the trio must make do with starting from the bench, while Mark Dowling has lost his fitness race to recover from a dislocated elbow.
