RTÉ GAA Podcast: Tyrrell & Dowling preview Limerick-Kilkenny hurling final

It's All-Ireland Hurling Final Thursday so Mikey Stafford and Rory O'Neill are joined by Limerick All-Ireland winner Shane Dowling and Kilkenny Celtic Cross collector Jackie Tyrrell to look ahead to Limerick v Kilkenny.

It's a change for Brian Cody to be going in as underdog against a team chasing immortality and Jackie senses a circling of the wagons in Kilkenny.

Cian Lynch's reported injury would be a huge loss for Limerick, says Shane, with Jackie describing him as 'the Messi of hurling'.

Hawk-Eye is also an injury concern but Mikey is keen to clear up a cold case from eight years ago and seeks Jackie's perspective on THAT Bubbles free.

The weather could be a real factor, with temperatures of up to 30 degrees expected - will either team alter their gameplan to allow for the furnace-like conditions?

The match-ups are fascinating and Jackie has concerns about what Kilkenny will do with Kyle Hayes, while Shane believes Limerick's full-back line will be able to deal with Kilkenny's rotating full-forward line.

Tipperary have parted company with Colm Bonnar, the lads debate who might be next for the Premier hotseat, with one friend of the podcast tipped for the bainisteoir bib.
