Tommy Dunne and Paul Curran, who were selectors with Tipperary hurling manager Colm Bonnar this year, have stepped away from the set-up.

The news comes ahead of a county management committee meeting this evening to review the 2022 senior hurling season.

The meeting will discuss the management of the county senior hurling team for 2023. All-Ireland winners Dunne and Curran, who who came on board with Bonnar last October, have decided to depart after just one campaign.

It was a disappointing championship season for the Premier County with no win in the Munster series, although they performed impressively against both Waterford and Limerick.

Bonnar was handed a three-year term after Liam Sheedy stepped away but his future is up for discussion tonight.

Bonnar blooded a raft of new players – six alone took their championship bow against Waterford including the likes of James Quigley, Craig Morgan, Dillon Quirke and Conor Bowe.

He was also beset with a plague of injuries to the likes of Seamie Callanan and Paudie Maher, the latter having to retire due to the serious nature of his injury.

With those injuries and the retirement after the previous season of talisman Brendan Maher, 2022 was never going to be an easy innings for the Tipp manager.

But such was the display against Cork, when they conceded 3-30 at home and finished bottom of the Munster table and pointless after four games, that there has been much scrutiny in the county since.

Bonnar met with board officials recently and has been in touch with some players too. He has already begun work on preparations for 2023 but tonight's management committee meeting will give clarity on his future.
