Tipperary 1-22 Clare 0-25 (Tipp win 3-0 on penalties after extra-time)
Tipperary claimed a dramatic Munster minor hurling title with a 3-0 shootout victory over Clare in the TUS Gaelic Grounds.
The Premier County were successful with all three of their penalties through Eoin Horgan, Paddy McCormack and Adam Daly, while the Banner, who fought back strongly in normal time to force extra-time, failed to convert any of theirs.
The reward for the victors is an All-Ireland semi-final spot, while Clare will now play Galway on 21 May in a round robin qualifier.
Clare made the brighter start with the aid of the breeze, claiming three of the opening four points, but at the interval it was the Premier County that led by the bare minimum, 0-10 to 0-09.

Damien Corbett was the main man in attack with 0-07 (0-4f) to his name, though the Banner did have a wider spread of scorers, free-taker Oisín Whelan (0-3f) the most prominent of their scorers.
A scoring burst from Clare – two Whelan frees, and points from James Organ and Jack O'Neill - saw them open up a four-point lead midway through the second half.
The dismissal of wing-back Sam O'Farrell after a second yellow card added to the Tipp challenge, but a goal from Sam Rowan eight minutes from time levelled matters at the Gaelic Grounds.

Tipp followed it up with points from Darragh McCarthy and Cathal English, but Clare fought to the end, claiming the final two points – a Whelan free and a Dylan Keane Hayes effort – to force extra-time.
Both sides tacked on a couple of scores in the first period of extra-time, and when Clare opened a two-point cushion early in the second period, it looked like they would finally emerge victorious.
This time it was Tipperary who dug deep, Jack O’Callaghan and a free and a Paddy McCormack free ensuring a penalty shootout, which they went on to win 3-0.
