Wexford manager Davy Fitzgerald says he has nothing but respect for Darren Gleeson despite being sent to the stands in Corrigan Park after a heated exchange with the Antrim manager.

A last-gasp point from Keelan Molloy 10 minutes into injury-time rescued a draw for the Saffrons in a game that saw both teams finish with 14 as Wexford's Matthew O'Hanlon was shown red on 46 minutes and Antrim's Neil McManus picking up a second yellow late on.

There was drama on the sideline too as Fitzgerald and Gleeson clashed, with referee Patrick Murphy dismissing the Yellowbellies boss to the stand.

Speaking to TG4 post-match, the 2013 All-Ireland winning manager played down the incident and admitted it is unlikely to be his last run-in with match officials.

"I’ve seen various managers go at it toe to toe, that’s the way it goes," he said.

"I’ve nothing but respect for what Darren Gleeson has done and what he had done in Antrim, but if we’ve to say something to each other we'll have a go. And that's the way it is, that’s between the two of us. I won't be talking about it anyway.

"It isn’t my first time that’s happening and it probably won’t be my last."
