The draw for the second round of the Christy Ring Cup and the Nicky Rackard Cup took place at Croke Park this morning.

Kildare, who claimed last season’s Christy Ring Cup, will face London in a first-round replay this Saturday in Newbridge after the two sides finished on 2-23 apiece at Ruislip on Sunday.

The winners of that tie will travel to Derry to play the Oak Leafers in the second round, while the losers will venture west to face Mayo.

Last season’s beaten finalists Kerry will host Meath, while Down have been drawn against Wicklow.

Nicky Rackard Cup favourites Armagh have been pitted against defending champions Tyrone in the second round.

Monaghan make the trip to Roscommon in the other match in Division 2A.

Louth and Longford will host Fingal and Donegal in Division 2B.

The winners of the Division 2A fixtures in both competitions advance to the semi-finals, with the losers progressing to the quarter-finals.

The winners of the matches in Division 2B qualify for the quarter-finals, while the losers meet in a relegation play-off.

The GAA's Central Competitions Control Committee will reveal dates, times and venues for the forthcoming fixtures later today.
