Dublin veteran Alan Brogan will make his first appearance of the year in a senior football challenge game against Galway on Sunday.
Brogan (33) hasn't played for the Dubs since last August's All-Ireland semi-final defeat to Donegal.
Meanwhile, the government-supported GAA inter-county players support scheme has been renewed for another two years.
The total value of the grants has stayed at the 2013 level of €900,000, down from a peak of €3.5m in 2008.
Inter-county players can expect to receive around €400 per year each under the current allocation.
