Westmeath and Carlow claimed comprehensive home wins, while Kerry and Derry drew in Division 2A of the Allianz Hurling League this afternoon.
Westmeath were always in control as they powered to a 2-20 to 1-08 win over London at Cusack Park, Mullingar.
The hosts led by 1-12 to 1-02 at half-time, with Robbie Greville netting their goal, while Luke Hands claimed his in the sixth minute.
Westmeath pushed 2-19 to 1-05 ahead on the restart, with Greville bagging their second goal.
Carlow had 10 different scorers in their 3-17 to 1-06 win over neighbours Wicklow at Netwatch Cullen Park.
All bar two points of the hosts' tally came from play, in a game where they also shot 15 wides.
Carlow led by 2-08 to 1-02 at half-time, with their goals coming from Seamus Murphy and John Michael Nolan.
Wicklow’s goal came from Andy O’Brien in the opening four minutes, but the Garden County were down to 14 men soon after, following a straight red card for Leighton Glynn.
On the restart, a Craig Doyle goal handed Carlow a 3-09 to 1-03 lead after 42 minutes and they never looked back.
A 73rd minute Shane Nolan pointed free, earned Kerry a share of the spoils with Derry, in their 0-14 all draw at Austin Stack Park, Tralee.
Derry trailed by 0-06 to 0-00 after 20 minutes, but showed superb resilience to battle back, and indeed led by a point late on, until Nolan’s last gasp equaliser.
