Former All-Ireland winning captain Eoin Kelly has announced his retirement from the Tipperary senior hurling squad.
The 32 year-old Mullinahone clubman lifted the Liam MacCarthy cup in 2010 and was also part of the side that triumphed in 2001.
He also collected five Munster and two Allianz League titles in a senior career that began in 2000.
His prowess on the field of play saw his win six All-Star awards, and in successive years 2001 and 2002, he was named Young Hurler of the Year.
To cap it all, Kelly is Tipperary's all-time leading scorer with 21-368 in 63 games.
His last appearance for the Premiermen was in this year's drawn All-Ireland final against Kilkenny on 7 September.
Speaking exclusively to RTÉ Sport, Kelly admitted that he has no regrets in making the decision now to call time on his county career.
"Everyone has their time in the county jersey and my time has come now," he revealed.
"I'm happy with the decision I have made in that now is the time to walk away. This season I had very limited game time and I'm also aware that Tipperary have a good up and coming team now."
