Waterford star Stephen Molumphy has announced his retirement from inter-county hurling.
Molumphy has been a star player for Waterford since 2006, and was part of the team that lost the 2008 All-Ireland final to Kilkenny.
An All Star in 2007, Molumphy also won two Munster titles and a national league title with the Déise.
Speaking about his retirement, Molumphy said: "It has been an honour and privilege to have played on and captained the Waterford senior hurling team since 2006 and been part of one of the most successful periods in Waterford hurling history.
"There is no greater feeling than taking to the hurling field and representing your county with your loyal supporters at your back."
