Liam Dunne is to remain on as manager of the Wexford senior hurlers for another two years.

Dunne, a member of the 1996 All-Ireland winning side, has been in charge for the past two seasons. County board officials overwhelmingly agreed to extend his tenure after a board meeting on Tuesday night.

This summer saw the Model County take Dublin to replay in the Leinster Championship, while All-Ireland finalists Clare needed extra time to edge past the Yellowbellies in the qualifiers.

Wexford will again begin 2014 operating in Division 1B of the Allianz HL.
