Cork’s Paudie O’Sullivan is poised for a long spell on the sidelines after sustaining a suspected broken tibia in a club encounter on Tuesday evening.
The 24-year-old was in action for Imokilly in a Cork SHC clash against CIT at Carrigtwohill when he suffered the shinbone injury.
The match was subsequently abandoned and confirmation of a broken shinbone will almost certainly rule O’Sullivan out of playing any part in Cork’s All-Ireland campaign.
Jimmy Barry-Murphy’s Rebels side face either Clare or Waterford in the semi-finals of the Munster SHC on 23 June.
