Henry Shefflin will make his return to the Kilkenny team on Saturday after being named in their starting XV to face Wexford in Wexford Park in the Leinster Hurling Championship semi-final.
Shefflin is coming back from a nine-month lay off after a cruciate ligament injury sustained in last year’s Championship.
Goalkeeper David Herity, corner back Paul Murphy, wing-back Paddy Hogan and corner forward Colin Fennelly have been handed Championship debuts for a much changed Cats team.
Michael Fennelly has been named in midfield alongside Michael Rice but Tommy Walsh misses out due to injury.
