Tommy Walsh has added to Kilkenny’s injury problems ahead of the All-Ireland Senior Hurling final after the 2009 Hurler of the Year picked up a knock in a club game on Saturday.
The defender was playing for Tullaroan in the Kilkenny Senior League during which he picked up a shoulder injury and had to leave the game with 10 minutes remaining.
Walsh was injured in the second period of the game and played on with the ailment for 10 minutes before leaving the field.
Walsh told the Kilkenny People that it was only bruising as he left the ground in a sling ahead of hospital tests.
