Waterford hurling manager Davy Fitzgerald has been handed a serious setback with the news that Michael 'Brick' Walsh will miss the rest of the Allianz GAA Hurling National League campaign.
Walsh suffered a broken arm during his side’s defeat against Galway at the weekend and looks likely to be out of action until late April at the earliest.
'It's a massive disappointment to us and it's a big blow to 'Brick' himself,' Fitzgerald said.
'He's the best centre-back in the country and we could have badly done with him at the moment because we have so many experienced players out injured.'
