Dublin hurling manager Anthony Daly is hoping that he can convince Conal Keaney to join his squad next year.
Dual ace Keaney impressed in Ballyboden St Enda's club hurling campaign, helping them to the Leinster semi-final in which they lost out to Ballyhale Shamrocks.
Keaney will have a second bite at the cherry this weekend when he and the Ballyboden football team take on Garrycastle in the Leinster semi-final, but it’s his skill with the ash that has caught Daly’s eye.
‘In fairness to Conal, he was absolutely outstanding again last Sunday and I watched the game against Ballyhale,’ Daly said.
‘We'd really love to have him, but I wouldn't be one for putting pressure on a chap at the moment.
‘Ballyboden are playing Garrycastle in football next Sunday and I wish Conal all the best in that. But we're still very hopeful and would love him to at least combine both next year.’
