Former Limerick hurler, TJ Ryan, has decided to end his career which saw him win two Munster championship medals and a National League titles in 1994 and 1997.

He announced his retirement after helping his club Garryspillane ensure their participation in next year’s county senior championship by beating Tournafulla in a relegation play-off which puts Tournafulla down to the intermediate grade for next season.

Ryan played in a number of position for Limerick ranging from defence to the attack in a career that spanned nearly 20 years.
