Derek Lyng and Richie Hogan have been drafted into the Kilkenny team for tomorrow's All-Ireland hurling final against Tipperary.
Lyng comes in at midfield for last year's captain James 'Cha' Fitzpatrick, while under-21 star Hogan gets his first start of the championship at right half forward with Leinster final hero Martin Comerford making way.
Henry Shefflin switches to centre forward, while the management have decided not to start fit-again All-Star full back Noel Hickey, with JJ Delaney continuing on the edge of the square.
Lyng and Hogan were both introduced in the semi-final win over Waterford. Significantly, it's Hogan's first start since he scored 1-10 in a match of the match display against Tipperary in the National League final on 3 May, though he was sidelined through injury for a period after that.
Lyng, who missed the National League campaign through injury, came on as a sub against Galway in the Leinster semi-final and started the final against Dublin before dropping to the bench for the All-Ireland semi-final, but he now regains his place ahead Fitzpatrick. Lyng's inclusion also means there is no starting place for team captain Michael Fennelly.
There are three changes from last year's All-Ireland final with John Tennyson, Michael Rice and Richie Power coming in for Noel Hickey, Fitzpatrick and Comerford.
