Limerick hurling manager Justin McCarthy faces an anxious wait as some of his key players are struggling with injury ahead of their Munster SHC opener against Waterford on 14 June.
There are major concerns over defender Seamus Hickey, who is suffering with a shoulder injury.
Fellow back Brian Geary is also a doubt, as is full-forward David Breen who underwent a scan for a hamstring injury, the outcome of which will be known later in the week.
Meanwhile, it has been confirmed that dual stars Stephen Lucey, Mark O'Riordan and Stephen Walsh will be made available for the Munster SFC semi-final against Clare on Sunday week.
The game is just seven days before the hurling clash with the Déise, but Limerick football board secretary Sean McAuliffe said: 'As things stand, we'll have them for the Clare game.'
