Cork appoint Considine to take charge

The Cork County Board have tonight appointed Under-21 manager, John Considine to take charge of the county senior hurling team on an interim basis.

Considine along with Jim Cashman, Tony O Sullivan, Denis Ring and Paddy Daly will take charge of the county for their next two league meetings with Clare and Limerick.

The county board will meet again next Monday night when a process will be put in place to appoint a new full-time manager.

Ten proposals were put to the delegates at Pairc Ui Caoimhe tonight and several delegates including Bob Honohan paid tribute and thanks to the contribution made by the outgoing Gerald McCarthy.
