Clare 2-12 Waterford IT 1-12
Clare edged out Waterford IT at Meelick to progress through to next weekend's Waterford Crystal Cup final.
Wind-assisted, Mike McNamara's Clare side raced into a 2-08 to 0-05 half-time lead with goals from Alan Markham (after 10 seconds) and Barry Nugent.
WIT then enjoyed a purple patch with points from TJ Reid and Ronan Good and a goal from Timmy Hammersley.
Efforts from Reid and Hammersley cut the gap to a single point but a late brace from Camin Morey saw Clare prevail.
Tipperary 3-09 UL 1-08
Defending champions Tipperary marched into the Waterford Crystal Cup final by coming from behind against UL at Cahir.
The Limerick students made a strong start and with Tommy Stapleton, Noel O Murchu and Michael Gleeson impressing in front of goal - UL led 1-04 to 0-04 at half-time.
After leaking a goal to Lar Corbett, UL bounced back to level at 1-06 apiece but despite losing Eamonn Buckley and Willie Ryan to yellow cards, Tipp forged ahead with clinching goals from Paul Kelly and Hugh Moloney.
