Pat Heffernan has decided to step down as manager of the Kerry senior hurling team for personal reasons.
The Chairman of Kerry County Committee, Jerome Conway, thanked Heffernan and his management team for their tremendous work over the past year. Conway also wished Heffernan and his family well in the future.
Heffernan also coached Limerick sides Murroe-Boher and Kilmallock in the past.
The Executive of Kerry County Committee will now set in motion the appointment of a new manager.
