Antrim saw off a wasteful Wexford side at Dunloy this afternoon to get their NHL Division 1A campaign back on track.
Wexford hit a total of 16 wides and were left chasing the game when Kieron Herron (7 minutes) and Karl Stewart (26) both netted for the Saffrons.
Wexford goalkeeper Dermot Flynn failed to stop an 80-yard free from Herron and when Stewart goaled again, 16 minutes into the second half, the visitors were in real trouble.
Eoin Quigley fired home a major in response but the damage was already done.
Wexford, unchanged from the team that beat reigning league champions Waterford, continued where they left off last weekend by racing into a 0-02 to 0-00 lead.
Mick Jacob and Stephen Nolan both found their range in the opening six minutes, with David 'Doc' O'Connor showing some nice touches early on.
But disaster struck Wexford goalkeeper Flynn just moments later when he lost the flight of Herron's placed ball and conceded an embarrassing goal.
Antrim never really looked back after that score and an excellent 40-yard point from Paddy McGill, after an interception by Karl McKeegan, sent the hosts into a 1-01 to 0-02 lead.
The Walsh Cup champions began to pile on the pressure with Liam Watson angling over a free and with the Wexford defence splayed open, Flynn redeemed himself by saving at point-blank range from Cormac Donnelly.
The sides swapped the next four points with Wexford's Nolan (free) and Mick Jacob both on target and Brendan Quinn and Watson (free) adding to Antrim's tally.
Stewart then broke through, latching onto a through ball to fire home his first goal. Paul Roche replied for Wexford, who replaced John Breen with PJ Nolan just before the break.
Watson's third point brought the first half's scoring to a close - it was a half to forget for Wexford who accumulated 11 wides during the opening 35 minutes.
Turning around with a 2-05 to 0-05 deficit to overcome, Wexford scored two of the second half's first three points with Quigley and Nolan both raising white flags.
In between, Cushendall clubman McGill notched his second point after a well-won puck-out. Watson's fourth point of the afternoon followed and Stewart's second goal had Wexford staring at a deflating defeat.
Quigley's goal helped the visitors launch a spirited comeback but they lacked the firepower to really test the home side.
Points from Simon McCrory, the impressive young wing forward, and Watson sealed the deal for an Antrim side that have to face Waterford, Cork and Kilkenny in their next three league games.
