Goals in either half from Michael Magill helped Antrim blitz their way into next weekend's Walsh Cup final at Casement Park.
Buoyed by last week's win over All-Ireland champions Kilkenny, the Saffrons simply had too much in their armoury for a game UCD side at Belfield today.
Ideal conditions prevailed throughout for Terence 'Sambo' McNaugton and Dominic McKinley's charges and they signalled their intent early on when Magill netted after just three minutes.
UCD kept in touch thanks to the free-taking of Michael McGarry and Wexford's Stephen Nolan but the Glensmen were full value for their 1-10 to 0-10 interval lead.
Centre-back Nolan ensured the students remained in contention throughout this semi-final and he was their top marksman with an impressive seven points.
The hosts piled on pressure on the restart with Tipperary's Tommy Fitzgerald rasping home a 39th-minute goal.
However UCD hit 10 wides in the second period and quick goals from Magill and Liam Watson, who netted a penalty, midway through the half set Antrim on their way to victory.
UCD battled hard until the end but were too wasteful in front of the posts. A superb save from Antrim goalkeeper Ryan McGarry, five minutes from the end, after a chance for a second goal fell the way of Tommy Fitzgerald, summed up a frustrating afternoon for the losers.
Antrim will face Offaly in next Sunday's final after Joe Dooley's charges recorded a 1-12 to 0-11 victory over 14-man Wexford at O'Connor Park, Tullamore this afternoon
Offaly were given a stern test by John Meyler's side but battled hard near the finish to run out four-point winners.
The hosts led by 1-10 to 0-10 with ten minutes remaining thanks to a goal from dual player Diarmuid Horan but Wexford had a sustained period of pressure in the closing stages and cut the gap to two points in injury-time.
However, points from Joe Bergin and Brian Carroll in the latter stages of injury-time confirmed Offaly's place in the decider.
