Tony Considine is no longer in charge of the Clare hurling side.

The former All-Ireland winner’s reign was shrouded in controversy, which may be the reason that he wasn’t reappointed for another season.

He said that he had a two-year term and that he had enjoyed his often controversial first season in charge of The Banner.

Considine said he would wait a 'month or two' before coming to any final decision on the matter.

The Executive Committee of the county board have recommended that a change of management takes place.

The proposal was carried by an overwhelming number of delegates, 45 votes to six.

Clubs are now to be invited to submit nominations for the vacant position.
